How To: My Beauty Routine

A lot of you’ve asked about my hair tutorial and if I’ll be incorporating more beauty ideas/products into my blog. The truth is my blog wasn’t originally going to be about beauty. Don’t ask me why. I’m a makeup-ahollic/hoarder. I’ve got around 3 (large) makeup bags full of products I use on special occasions.  Ha! But my point is that I’ve come to find that I like to share my absolute favorite products with you guys, because who doesn’t love a review before you decide to purchase? I know I do. So here you go: what I use on a daily basis for my make-up routine. Enjoy 🙂

What I do: I start with my eyes first out of everything on my face. I was told by a MAC Makeup Artist while working at Nordstrom in high school that this is the best order to apply. So with a small brush I’ll apply my MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study to my eyes. Then, I’ll cover the lid with MAC Antiqued eyeshadow. This is one of my favorite colors out of everything I own. Blend and apply the lightest color in the Naked Palette to the upper part of your eye (under your eyebrow). Next, I line my eyes with MAC Superslick Liquid Eyeliner in On The Hunt. Finally, mascara!

I recently got the opportunity to visit Nordstrom and have my eye brows waxed by one of their Anastasia Beverly Hills brow specialists. And let me tell you, it was awesome. She completely re-shaped my brows using one of their stencils. I bought the All in One Brow Kit in Golden Blonde and it is the best. Literally, all I have to do is hold the stencil on my eyebrow, and brush the eye brow powder in over my brow. I then apply the Brow Wiz pencil lightly on the bottom of my brow line. After, I apply the brow “hairspray” (all comes in the kit). I highly recommend this all in one kit! It has everything you need for the perfect brow!
For my faec, I first apply my Benefit concealer. Next, I’ll blend my Benefit You Rebel tinted moisturizer all over my face. Let me tell you about this miracle worker. I’ve used You Rebel for over 7 years, literally every day. It gives your face SPF power, a smooth surface, and a little tint of tan to boot! I then use my Chanel powder, making sure to blend under my chin! Brush on some Nars Bronzer in my T zones (where the sun naturally hits you) and Clinique blush on my cheeks and you’re good to go!
Hope this gives you guys some ideas for your routine! If you have any questions about applying, feel free to comment, tweet, email me, etc! 🙂
