Birthday Print/Texture Mixing

I’m a print and texture mixing machine, as you all know. When T.J.Maxx asked me to create a look that mixed materials, naturally, I was excited at the challenge.

Print/texture mixing is seriously an art, but it’s not one that you can’t master! When all else fails, keep your layers neutral, just add texture. Remember this little nugget Chewbacca vest from last year? I dug it out of my winter closet and threw it over a fun chambray top with my new favorite skirt from T.J.Maxx.
Shopping at T.J.Maxx this past weekend, I had one of those enlightening experiences. Well, fashion enlightening experiences, that is. I scored this highly coveted designer skirt at the most amazing price. One that I may/may not have been eyeing in stores recently. It was the last one in my size. I held my breath and took it to the dressing room, only to find that it FIT! Ah! It fit! Obviously the fabulous skirt came home with me and will never leave me. #Dying.
I like to think it was T.J.Maxx giving me a little early birthday present this past weekend. Today is the big day! I’m excited to have some family in town and this weekend I’ll have Chandler here! It’s going to be a great week. I’m even trying on wedding dresses! Ah! Too much fun. Good thing I have my amazing new dry shampoo from T.J.Maxx. I blew through their beauty section and went crazy for birthday looks. My hair is totes dirty in this post. Totes. Never knew it, huh! Thanks T.J.Maxx! #Lifesaver.
