Two Ways To Wear A Shirtdress

Nothing excites me more than a dress that can be worn multiple ways. No, I am not talking about gowns with convertible straps, I am talking about the good old classic shirt dress. Shirt Dresses are having a total moment and have been for the past few seasons. They are extremely versatile and look cool when worn over pretty much anything. Today I’ll show you two ways I wear my favorite shirt dress of the moment, plus I’ll give you several other great options!

Outfit 1: Aritzia Dress (similar here & here) // Vintage Belt // ASOS Blazer // Acne Studios Booties (similar) // Alexander Wang Bag // Celine Sunglasses (similar) //
Outfit 2: Aritzia Dress // J Brand Pants // Burberry Trench Coat // Alexander Wang Bag (similar)// Celine Sunglasses (similar) //
The first look has a simple and easy going vibe. I decided to take one of my favorite vintage belts to the waist to give shape and a little pizzaz to the outfit. Sometimes a little touch of vintage is all you need to make your look more unique. This lovely ASOS blazer can be worn over your shoulders for a chic touch. I finished off the look with my new Acne booties.
For the second look I was transitioning from running around to meetings and events all day to heading to dinner with Chandler. In LA it regularly cools down at night (quite a bit) so I threw on a great pair of J Brand wide leg pants. Ladies, you cannot go wrong with a wide leg pant. No matter your height, wide leg pants slim and trim and look down-right awesome. Back to the shirt dress – when you are layering pants underneath, I suggest unbuttoning the last 3 buttons for an undone and very of the moment look. I threw on my Burberry trench coat to finish off the outfit. Easy, simple chic. Just how I like it!
Happy Thursday!
