Update Your Home For 2015

A new year brings a fresh start. If you’re anything like me, you tend to take this saying literally and try to ‘clean up’ or ‘update’ every aspect of your life, including the home. I’m not saying to start a remodel and completely overhaul your life/home. I’m all about taking small steps each day to make your life a more positive, confident place to be. Today, we will discuss how to easily update your home through cute accessories.

Give your home an update and refresh with with fun pillows. One of the easiest ways to change up the look of a room is through a great set of pillows. I could look through (and I covet) every single pillow from Lulu & Georgia and One Kings Lane. Check out those places for endless pillow options!

Order coffee table books. Decorating with new coffee table books is another great way to easily switch up your space. I pretty much always buy mine on Amazon, I’m a Prime member and books are always cheaper on Amazon. Duh!

While you’re at it, find a great set of bookends to have more options for displaying those lovely coffee table books you purchased from Amazon.

Hang a decorative gold mirror. I personally believe in mixing metals in the home and love the look of a vintage-y gold mirror in pretty much any interior situation. Gold goes with everything, ya’ll. Hang a great gold mirror to give your space some pizzaz. If you have a wall of art already, add that puppy in to create a more dynamic gallery wall!

Find a great decorative tray. I found this amazing round wood inspired tray from One Kings Lane. It’s such a versatile piece and would look amazing on a coffee table or even console.

How are you changing up your space for 2015?
