What I love about LA is that after 3 years of living there, I still have so much to explore and discover. One of the places I have been meaning to discover lately is the Griffith Observatory. Believe it or not, it was my Husband’s and my first time this past weekend. I have to say: we picked the (worst) best day to go, Saturday — and the ride up the narrow, narrow, car filled road/mountain was a task. But we were able to sit down and enjoy after arriving from our amazing parking spot (we scored!), so everything was cool. More than cool! That view tho.

Shirt: BCBG (similar here & here) with tie from another shirt! // Jeans: DL1961 // Flats: Chanel (similar style) // Bag: Alexander Wang // Sunglasses: Prada // Similar tie: ASOS //
We just upgraded our camera and couldn’t wait to try it out in the gorgeous spot. I have to note that before any of this could happen, I needed a strawberry popsicle that I got in the cafe. After seeing a little kid! I know. I know. Anyway, I decided to keep things casual and simple(ish) in my blue BCBG shirt that I scored on major sale paired with an old tie from a different top paired with jeans. These jeans by DL1961 are meant to flatter the body and I really believe they slim your legs (or create the illusion, whatever!) I need to wear them more often — they are also quite comfortable!
We had such a great time sitting in the sun and watching people go by along with this crazy awesome view. Have you been to the Griffith Observatory? If not, you should add it to your list! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, too! xx

Such an awesome jumping shot! When my husband and I traveled to LA a few years ago, I was so bummed we didn't have time to make it to the Griffith! Next time for sure!

Griffith Observatory is one of my favorite places in LA – so scenic, and can be a really fun place to visit at night as well. This post is making me wish I was there right now. 🙂
