NYFW DIARY: Day 1

February 16, 2015

Every season I come to the same realization: in the fashion world, Fashion Weeks are the few times a year when a girl can change outfits 5 times a day and no other girls can say anything else about it. Yep. On any given day of Fashion Week, you will see impeccably dressed women galavanting around town in multiple looks a day. Hey, don't think I'm complaining! Coming from someone who loves to observe fashion and people and equally loves to change 5 times herself, I love every minute.

With that said, I'm going to share my NYFW diaries by outfit and what I did in each outfit. Let's get to it!

We arrived in NYC Wednesday night to -- let me just spell this out for you -- BLISTERING FREEZING temperatures. Leaving the 75 degree perfection weather in LA was definitely rough, let's just say that. Little did we know, temps would drop majorly over the course of the week. Day one of #NYFW was one of the coldest days they've had in years. Awesome!

I bundled up in several layers (my jam) for a morning breakfast meeting at The Smith then headed off to the BCBG show. It was great as usual! BCBG has always been one of the most wearable brands to walk the runway, but these days we are seeing an emergence of real-ness everywhere. I have to say, as someone who strives to take the runway to the REALway, I'm loving it. Beautiful models clad in fabulous knits with genius layering combos graced the runways to cool music. Let's just say I wanted one of everything!

After the BCBG show, the weather decided to get even colder and snow flurries began to fall. At this point, I knew I needed to change clothes for the sole purpose of staying warm! So, I did. That outfit and a re-cap of the rest of my day will be up tomorrow! Stay tuned for more fun, crazy moments.
