A Relaxing Day in Santa Monica

White on white is a classic chic look that I love to put together for spring. It happens to be a big trend this year, so that means it’s like army pants and flip flops. You need to go get army pants and flip flops. Just kidding, that was a Mean Girls reference if you didn’t catch it. Anyway, I typically love to do all white in a more formal setting, like with a great pair of wide leg pants and a silk cami under a fabulous vest, but I decided to pair this look for a casual (and fun) trip to Santa Monica with my husband this past weekend. We decided to hit the beach after a productive week!

I recently purchased the white pants I’m wearing and I love how they can be dressed down like this, or completely dressed up with a pair of Stuart Weitzman strappy sandals. I’m all about versatility, people!

Tee: Joie // Pants: Joie // Shirt: Equipment (also love this) // Shoes: Michael Kors (old, similar herehere & here) // Bracelets: Madewell (& more), Giles & Brother // Bag: Ted Baker c/o
We decided to get our shop on at the 3rd Street Promenade on this beautiful weekend. We had a great time and walked what seemed like a zillion miles, and I am not complaining because I considered it my workout for the day. One hilarious moment I have to share (with video to come on here later): Chandler thought it would be funny to shoot an “oh look, Devon’s running through the seagulls on the beach” video, and when we did so… I realized something towards the end. Everything was great, I ran up to the birds, they flew away, and I figured he easily got the shot. I realize mid way through this process, “Oh my gosh, there are literally 30 seagulls sitting here, there has to be massive amounts of poo present”. Well, lucky for me Chandler actually didn’t capture the first part like we wanted but by golly he did capture my reaction to the poo. Just wait.
