My Hunt For The One

Believe it or not, the process of finding nightstands was, well, a process. It’s completely personal. I knew we wanted to have as much storage as possible, and something sleek/modern, so I set out on a wild goose hunt. It was like I dated a few pairs here and there, for a month or so, but hadn’t found the one. Sure, they were all really good looking but after a while I changed my mind and couldn’t settle on one for the long haul (heh). As a matter of fact, so many of my friends say the same thing: it takes time to narrow down the best option but the hunt can be well worth it in the end. Much like the search for Mr. Right – am I right? And for me, it was. Everything changed when I discovered Shop Candelabra – an online mecca of chic interior décor and furniture.

I went right to the nightstand section and low and behold I saw them (and about 18,000 other things I wanted)- a pair of unbelievablydelicious burl wood by Worlds Away and basically what my dreams were made of. The Hyde Side Table was the one.

Fast-forward, I’m just so in love with them I can’t stand it! They are so classic and timeless and edgy all in one and it warms my heart. With that said, I wanted to share some of the ways I’ve styled each side – I’m waiting on my new black lamps to come in, so that will definitely add a new element I can’t wait to share. I typically select a few personal items, decorative books + a journal, a candle, and always, always something fresh like flowers- they bring things to life.

  1. The nightstand looks great with your room. Glad you finally found it. Personally, I get super frustrated and impatient buying furniture. I always worry about how it will look in my house and how it will look like with all the other new furniture. Grr.
