Kitchen Nook Update

Every morning I wake up, walk into my kitchen (usually starving), make + eat breakfast and spend my ‘me’ time in my little nook. I have to admit when we moved in, I didn’t think I would frequent this space as much as I have. It has become the perfect spot to sit down, enjoy the morning light, sip my coffee and read or write (or check my phone, guilty). I was so excited to have a kitchen nook – it’s charm and character are definitely vibrant!
Although I am not quite finished with the space, I wanted to give you an update of the progress. Thanks to Lulu & Georgia, I added a gorgeous cowhide rug and navy chairs – I have a navy problem.

The table is really old and honestly in pretty bad shape, so I’m in the process of finding a replacement at the moment. The beauty of the shelves is they can be dressed differently every day if I wanted – meaning I can change the look/vibe/feel of this space by simply rearranging the shelves.

I switched out the light fixture for this modern yet retro pendant by Schoolhouse Electric. They have the best lighting and great quality.

The navy chairs are from Lulu & Georgia and I think they complement the space so well. I chose these in particular with a plan to possibly move to my dining room or mix in match with others in this room. I have a real thing for navy and it’s becoming a problem.

If you haven’t checked out Lulu & Georgia, please do! It’s one of my go-tos for gifts, furniture and home decor with new arrivals daily. Oh, and there’s something for every budget!

  1. SO lovely Devon!

I am in the process of decorating a little kitchen nook as well. Just a rug and a few chairs, but I think I will grow to love it too!
