Hello dolls! As I jumped on the bus from my last class, exhausted and burnt out on school (aren’t we all?), I was pleasantly surprised when I could start to hear the bus driver’s fabulous taste in music. To my surprise, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody (to which I know every word, sadly enough) blared on the speaker. Suddenly my day turned around and I was delighted. If we take pleasure in the small delights of life, the days suddenly don’t seem so long and grueling.

I’m sure you’re wondering how this has anything to do with fashion and don’t you worry, I’m getting to it! This song reminds me to stop caring so much about the things I cannot change- aka take a walk on the hippie side of life. So I took that inspiration and ran with it. As you can tell, I decided to create a laid back, 70’s vibe. Believe it or not, the light and flowy fabrics I chose helped me to feel more relaxed. I challenge you all to take a walk on the hippie side for a change (if you don’t already, that is). I try to dress based on my mood at that very moment, considering every feeling and inspiring thought I have. Next time you are staring at your closet wondering what you could possibly pull out of that black hole, step back and consider how your mood is and what you are feeling. The effect your thoughts have on your wardrobe is fantastic!

Have a fashionable day!

PS: CALLING ALL LOCAL FASHIONISTAS! I am working on a piece for my blog that I’m calling Fashionable Friends. This will a feature of a few of my local friends in outfits from their wardrobe that I put together for them. If you haven’t already contacted me about possibly being apart of it, let me know if its something you’d be interested in doing. I think it will be loads of fun and great practice for me.
