A Different Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day! First, I have to give a shout out to my Momizzle & Aunt (they are twins) Sheri & Teri because it’s also their birthday! I love you both so much and I’m so thankful for you. MWAH!
And speaking of love, this V-Day I’m thinking about things a little different…..

This Valentine’s Day, I’m focusing on love beyond my soon-to-be
hubby. Love is so much more than a feeling you get with your husband, wife,
boyfriend, girlfriend, etc. I firmly believe love is a way of life; loving
others for who they are, spreading kindness even when others put you down, or
simply having a positive outlook on life and bringing that brightness to
others. Love is a beautiful thing that should be spread around the world. Love
is a helping hand, a smile, a hug, or a word of encouragement—ahem, “Get It
Girl”. Love and acceptance for all is my mission and I’m sticking to it—hell or
high water.
I’m going to spend time today giving thanks for all forms of love
in my life. I’m talking about my love for my family and new family (yay, Mrs.
Cruse to be!), being alive and breathing (Praise the Lord!), fashion of course,
my friends, my sweet angel/devil kitty Stella and most importantly, you.
You read what I have to blab about every day and you support me through my ups
and downs. When I’m feeling overwhelmed, excited, sad, mad, happy, I run to
this blog, Instagram, Twitter, etc. to write to you. I want to thank you for
supporting me—because you don’t have to. Thank you for loving me for me. What a gift that is! I challenge you to think
about the love you currently give to the world (in whatever form) and think of
the ways you can spread more love. This world certainly needs it. You can make
a difference!

Ok. So with all that said, I wanted to share a few pictures from my post
on Style Me Pretty this week. It’s a really awesome informative post about
picking the perfect flowers for your wedding. I learned so much about flowers
from the awesome Celadon and Celery– remember the flowers in my engagement post? Well, they are the masterminds behind that and many other awesome shoots.
So head over to Style Me Pretty to read my latest post.

  1. I love the look and the flowers! and i think what you said is so true! love and acceptance help you achieve balance in your life. i don't think one can be truly happy without having someone to love and it doesn't matter if it is family member, friend or a fiancee. of course we love you for being you because you are so genuine and kind! i think it is also a power of internet, knowing that someone cares even if you haven't meet them once! how awesome is that?!

  2. Beautiful look for Valentine's. I also did something different and not the traditional.

Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend.
    Love,
    Sofia
