Weekend Packing Tips: Accessories

When I’m packing for a weekend trip, my first thought (and
Chandler’s) is: “maybe this trip Devon will pack for a weekend and not a full
week”. As you all know, I am always trying to better myself in the packing
department. Shocking that I have a problem, right? Well, I made a few strides
in the right direction on our trip to Napa and I wanted to share them with you.

Lately I have been trying to keep track of what I brought too much of while I’m unpacking from our trips; whether it’s accessories, clothing or my 12lbs of toiletries/products. Believe it or not, for me it isn’t an excess of clothing (well, it isn’t always at least). For me it’s the amount of accessories – specifically bags and shoes – I tend to bring on trips that are weighing my life and my suitcase down.  Why do I bring so many? It’s like I think I’m reeeeally going to wear a different bag every day and then another at night. I’ve clearly been living by my old boss Taylor Jacobson’s motto, “Always have options. And options for your options.”

Well, on this trip to Napa I was enlightened. Lo & Sons sent over their Pearl bag – a messenger bag that transforms into a clutch with wicked awesome amounts of organization pockets perfect for travel or just everyday life. For me specifically, this bag helped keep me organized while traveling – which can be a difficult task! And I love the versatility and functionality it provides with the removable strap – another perfect way to switch things up without bringing 12 clutches on your vaca. It’s little things like accessories that weigh everything down!

Top: Equipment // Shorts: Frame Denim (my favorite shorts currently!) // Sunglasses: illesteva // Bag: Lo & Sons c/o // Shoes: Converse // Bracelet: Brandy Pham, ASOS //

Big thanks to Lo & Sons for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own!
