Beauty Favorites: Summer to Fall

If I’m not careful, I can spend WAY too much time in Sephora or any department store beauty section for that matter. I’ve loved makeup since I was a little tot packing it on for competitive dance. What can I say!

I am continuously switching up products and finding new ones to love and obsess over, so I plan to amp up this beauty section and share more often. Because I get it – these are some of my favorite blog posts and youtube videos, too.

I have been more adventurous than normal lately with my products, so let’s get into the many new favorites:

MAKEUP ::

It Cosmetics Mascara Primer

Funny story: I went to pick up this product at Ulta after hearing so many great things (and seeing it in action). Took it home, loved it but didn’t realize it was only a primer. There were definitely days I wore only ‘one coat of mascara’ or so I thought. Ha! I quickly learned this is a black primer, but it does the most spectacular things to your lashes. The tiny bristles create the illusion of eyeliner. It. Is. Awesome. And it keeps your lashes straight up, an annoying problem I have with my straight @$$ lashes. Basically, you need this. Please try it out – they make a small trial version for half the price! This is how I tried it. Then my best friend stole it. Need I say more?

Tartelette In-Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette

Each of these products tell a funny store it seems like. So I was on the prowl for a new eyeshadow pallet small enough for travel but that would also give mama enough options (I’m picky). My Sister-In-Law (who is often my go-to on the best makeup products) and I always sit and do our makeup together when we see each other, and she opens this amazing, gorgeous chocolate smelling palette by Tarte. I was sold before I even swatched. I picked up this palette thinking it was the same and it’s different, but moral of the story is it’s also amazing and Tarte is queen.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

This will be your go-to. Mine is from last year and the new Volume 3 is even better. What I love most about this pallet is the versatility- if you travel or want a lighter makeup bag, just know it can act as your bronzer, blush, highlighter and even eyeshadow. It’s pretty amazing.

Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Color

I’m a huge fan of Laura Mercier, and they recently sent over a Christmas Day style package filled with Caviar Eye Color Sticks. I’ve tried every single one and I have to say you can’t go wrong here. They work as eyeshadow, eyeliner and some even brows. You can do any kind of eyeshadow look on the planet. With both matte and shimmer options, I’d say get a few of each. I can’t decide which I love more! Trust. My favorite colors are as follows:

Burnished Bronze, Cocoa, Copper, Sandglow, Sapphire, Khaki and Plum.

Oribe Lipstick in Natural & Imperial Rose

Oribe has been my favorite haircare brand for years. I’ve used Gold Lust Shampoo + Conditioner and Masks for ever. I continuously try new products and I’m never disappointed. The same goes with the new venture into makeup. Their lipsticks are both chic and feel amazing on your lips. I personally loved Natural + Imperial Rose most.

Buxom Lipgloss in Mudslide

I first picked up this product on a whim in Sephora while Chandler rushed me (haven’t we all been here) and ended up falling in love. The color is perfection and the plump is totally noticeable. So noticeable that Chandler actually says – “hey your lips look bigger”. I rest my case.

Herbivore Rose Hydrating Mist

For years I would mist MAC’s Fix Plus all over my face before + after I did my makeup. Now days mists are all the rage and there are TONS of great options. I will say the MAC is still a top 5, but I also love this Rose Mist. It’s the best little refresher to carry in your bag and mist throughout the day. It makes a difference!

Benefit Gimme Brow #3

Okay, I’m an Anastasia Brand Loyal girl but this one takes the cake. I love the concept of tinted brow gel – it makes things so much easier. We can all finally get that imperfectly perfect bushy brow!

Laura Mercier Foundation

On days I need my face to last for a long, long day, the LM foundation is my go-to. I usually mix two colors (my tan color and pale color) for the perfect shade that lasts.

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage

This little warrior is the newest addition to my purse at all times. It’s perfect with a compact and covers everything without looking gross.

Bobbi Brown Illuminating Powder

I love the color of this powder so much that I often wear it alone as blush. It gives you the perfect barely there, I’m a model/mermaid/fairy/gorgeous human who woke up like this look.

Dior Air Flash Foundation

I used this product 2 years ago and loved it, then moved away from it. I remembered how many compliments I’d get on my skin when I had it on, so I decided to pick up a new bottle. I have to say, it’s not something I’ll use every day but I do still love the coverage. Also, I recently heard it’s best to spray directly on your face rather than into a brush for application, then blend with a beauty blender.

Original Beauty Blender + Small Concealer Blender

Okay, if you haven’t started using the orignial BB, shame on you. I was hesitant for SO long because I hated cleaning it. Well, they came out with the cutest and easiest soap to clean (find it here) and even more useful sizes. My go-tos are the original and the small concealer blender. I swear both will change your life. Be sure to wet and squeeze/bounce before applying. It’s best when they are damp.

Sigma Brush

A great brush for applying anything from foundation to bronzer to contour.

Hourglass Brush

I love this brush for blush or bronzer- or to just give everything a good blending. It is such great quality and worth the price.

SCENTS & CREAMS ::

Replica Spray in “Beach Walk”

You guys know I love my Maison Margiela! Their newest scent is so dreamy. Definitely check out their wide variety of gorgeously smelling products.

Stella by Stella McCartney Perfume

Aesop Body Balm

love this product because it’s natural and doesn’t fade my self-tan. Plus it smells amazing and makes your skin feel like a baby.

Bio Oil

I started using this for stretch marks and I’ve already seen a big difference. I’ve heard people say to rub it all over your body!
