It seemed only fitting for a Hump Day to talk about my experience at NYFW this year with a little underlying message to “Live everyday like you’re glen coco.” I’ll talk about how you should soak up your OWN awesomeness and embrace the menswear trend. Because there’s four for you, Glen Coco. You go Glen Coco.
Sunglasses: Raen // Dress: Thakoon Addition (I’m wearing a size 6, you can also wear over pants!)// Heels: Zara (old, similar option here & here & here) // Bag: Henri Bendel c/o
I know what you’re thinking. Fashion week is, like, this totally glamorous time when all these, like, really fashionable bloggers just walk around doing, like, really fashionable glamorous things. And to a certain extent, you are right. I’ll give it to you — there are some pretty glamorous things happening during Fashion Week. And there are definitely some exciting and glamorous faces to be seen. But it’s sooo not about that stuff. Or at least I believe it shouldn’t be. This year fashion week was a bit of a struggle for me. I consider it a huge, huge, honor to be requested to sit and watch the coveted art work of people I admire. I think a lot of people take it for granted during this time. Especially this year. The amount of extreme things people are willing to do to get to the top just astonishes me. All the trying too hard just makes me feel uncomfortable. We should be ourselves. We should represent who WE are. Why do we feel the need to be someone else during Fashion Week, or better yet, ever? This world has done so many crazy things to young women and their minds. Be a light to the world. Be the change. Give yourself a pat on the back and just do YOU. Just a positive thought for you to ponder today. 🙂
What makes me feel most like ‘me’ is a button down top or dress. I’m such a sucker for them! Good news for me: menswear has been/is going to continue to be a trend in the next several months. I’m really excited about that, because there are very few things I wouldn’t do for a button down top/dress.
Verrrry few.

Devon, you've always been up front and to the point about being real, which is the perfect marriage to your impeccible taste. I wish others had the same philosophy as you do, stay true to yourself and be you. Stay real my friend, life is too short and the world is too nasty of a place to be anyone other than yourself, plus your momma raised you right! Loving this menswear inspired look
Super cute look!

Love you in this menswear piece, and yes, I totally agree about NYFW…sometimes all the fake people around you makes it all just not worth it.
