I am so
excited about this J.Crew coat I recently purchased. You’ve probably noticed
that I’ve worn the (cough, cough) you-know-what out of it already. Let’s get
two things clear before I go any further. Here at Devon Rachel, I stand behind two principles in
fashion: 1) you don’t have to be 3.5 pounds to rock killer styles and 2) you
don’t have to drain your bank account to look like a million bucks. The
ability to take a fabulous (possibly designer) piece and mix it with a $15 shirt from
Forever 21 is what I call good styling. Receive this: anyone can take a $400 dress, $500
shoes and a $2,000 bag and look great. What makes a good fashionista is the act
of working with what ‘chu got and honing in on your inner confidence (ahem, #getitgirl). I challenge you to think about that! Who cares
if you can’t afford that Celine bag or Valentino rock stud pumps? Take what you
got and WORK IT, GIRL (#GetItGirl)! I’m going to be on my soapbox about this
subject in 2014—so get ready.
