I am constantly thinking of ways to re-decorate our apartment. I get sick of things quickly and as I have gotten older, my style has changed. I may not always let my ideas and visions of decorations come to life, but this time I knew my bar cart needed a serious face lift (previous look). So I’m thinking, where do I even start? So. much. clutter. I had to make it end! So while you’re drinking the refreshing lemon cocktail from my last post, kick back and check out how I re styled this baby and brought her back to life!
I decided to take off the lucite bottle holder to create a more clean look. But don’t worry, I kept at least 3 Pellegrino bottles handy. Duh.
To switch things up, I wanted to take this Beatles poster that is normally in our bedroom and give the bar cart some color. I really like how it turned out! Just the right amount of color for me. And The Beatles are my all time favorite band, ever. So it’s nice to have around the house.
I love adding a pop of color in the form of fresh fruit. It’s a great (and inexpensive) way to add style to your home in any aspect.
These are the adorable glasses we did our first toast at our wedding. I love having sentimental things around our home. Don’t worry, we try not to use them too often — we want to keep them special forever!
I fell in LOVE with this vintage radio while antiquing with my mother in law a few months back. It really works! I think it adds the perfect retro touch on top of several coffee table books. The beautiful marble piece is a wedding gift that I’m obsessed with!
The vintage pipes were Chandler’s Great Grandfather’s and I think they are some of the coolest things ever. I love displaying them in various places around the home. Chandler’s Great Grandfather was a pretty cool man that I have heard crazy awesome stories about. I sure wish I had the chance to meet him.
I hope you enjoyed the re-do! I wanted to leave you with a few of my favorite must haves for bar carts and be sure to check out this post where I go into more detail about it! Nordstrom carries some of the CUTEST things for your bar cart and entertaining. I know you think clothes when you think of the store but trust me, you need to check it out. My specific favorites are this set of gorgeous coasters and this wine holder.
Love the new look! I always have so much fun with decorating and redecorating my bar cart! There's just so many things you can do with it! xo, Emma http://www.defineddesignsblog.com
I think bar carts are so cute, and you do such a great job styling them. I wish I could have one in my place right now, but with a 16 month old whose current skill is throwing whatever he can get his hands on, this will have to be on my décor to-do list later on down the line. But I'm taking notes! 🙂 http://www.everydaystilettos.com
