I’d have to say my skin is one of the main factors that can easily make or break my confidence level. I started to realize this during the months before my wedding in 2014 when I upped my novice skincare routine to a more grown up regime in preparation for my big day. Once I saw results from consistency, I committed to keeping it up after the wedding and have been concocting my oils and weird potions (as my husband likes to call them) ever since.
With that said, over the past year my skin has taken a turn for the worst. I’ve had more acne than my teenage years combined. Plus, all of my glorious tanning bed visits have creeped up to haunt me in the form of dark spots. A few months ago, I decided it was affecting my life to a point where I needed to do something about it.
Confidence is so important. I truly believe we aren’t able to function to the best of our abilities when we are insecure or not truly confident.
I was on the hunt for a great product and after hearing so many amazing things about the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, I decided to embark on the #OneBottleAwayFrom journey to regain my wedding glow. I’ve used the Facial Treatment Essence consistently every single day and night for the past month or so – I have to say the difference is significant. I simply cleanse and tone, then apply directly to my face like water using a cotton pad. You know your skin is on the upward turn when people consistently compliment it! I can tell you the most common question has been – how is your skin so fresh and dewy? I swear SK-II Facial Treatment Essence is the main difference in my routine.
In addition to the Facial Treatment Essence, I try to exfoliate my skin 2x a week so it will absorb my new routine. I also committed to bi-weekly facial mask treatments – this is easy to do as it will become your ‘me’ time on a Sunday afternoon, trust me.
It’s really important to also remember: you are what you eat and drink. If you feel a little dull, amp up the avocado, salmon, or your favorite berries – blue in particular. When I’m trying to cleanse the skin, I’ll go WAY easy on all dairy – especially milk and cheese. And easy on the sugar, people! If you are breaking out – seriously take a step back and ask yourself what you’re drinking and eating. If you want to keep the skin fresh and ready, you’d need to limit those drinks to the weekend. From personal experience, I’ve found that if I keep my diet as clean as possible (and I mean life is balance here, people) during the week and limit my drinks to Friday (or sometimes Thursday) evening, my skin is much happier.
My skin is finally clearing up for summer thanks to a few small tweaks. I am #OneBottleAwayFrom improving the quality of my skin!
Have you tried the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence? Please do share!

Thank you so much for the tips….great post!
I haven’t tried SK-II Facial, but I have heard some good reviews about this brand. BTW…I’m loving the ruched sleeves on your white shirt.
I love SK-II products! I use the face mask from b-glowing every now and then, although this is one of their products I have not tried yet. It will be on my wish list soon.
