I’ve always been terrified of sheer tops– yes, I’ll admit it. The girl who always yells at her friends, “SHUT UP YOU CAN TOTALLY PULL THAT OFF! JUST TRY IT!”, wouldn’t try a trend herself! Seeing other bloggers and women in the media baring bras in plain sight under beautiful blouses reeeealy intrigued me (and secretly made me nervous). After reading in my newest Lucky Magazine about sheer attire and how to wear it in daily life, I was still a little skeptical. I wondered how anyone would consider a sheer blouse an appropriate work look. So obviously I had to try this tricky trend… to see what all the hype was about. The verdict? I’m in love. There are so many ways to incorporate the sheer trend in daily life. If you’re still a little weary, take baby steps like I did in this blouse. You don’t have to wear a bra under it. Honey, that will come with time. Baby steps! Try a spaghetti strap cami in the same color as the blouse (or a fun different one if you’re daring) and you’ll feel more comfortable. Add a printed jacket and you’ll be on your way!
PS: Sorry I didn’t post the winner of my VSP Company giveaway yet! Congratulations to number 21…

  3. I love that coat! I've been admiring black and white striped clothing so much these last few weeks. And I totally read the same article in my Lucky mag! I've always loved sheer but not with just a bra under it. That still scares me! LOL. Great look Devon! <3

  6. I adore this look with the sheer and stripes! I've been toying with the idea of a neon bra or bralette under a sheer top, but I'm still working up the courage. So far it's just been bright cami's under the sheer!

Glad you took the chiffon/sheer plunge!

  7. Oh my gosh, right when I saw that jacket I thought "Oh, that's from F21", and when I looked, whaddya know? It IS from F21! I work there, so I'm around clothes way more than I should be, but I love it! I love style blogs. I'm very glad I found yours.

    P.S.
I noticed that Busy Bee Lauren also has that jacket. TWO great blogs secretly connected by a striped jacket. Love it.

  8. you are rockin the sheer top. It took me a while to have the guts to try it as well. With the red skirt and stripes, this outfit is gorgeous.
I found your blog through Running on Happiness:) Yay

  9. I am with you on the camisole under the sheer top. Baby steps! Maybe for night I'd be more daring. Love the snake clutch mixed with stripes, it looks incredible with the red skirt!

  10. Yes to the Minkoff clutch! You look super chic!

I love sheer blouses, but haven't gotten brave enough to go sans cami. I have a bigger chest, so would be super self conscious!
