Stripes Vs. Stripes

(J Crew blouse, Gap pants & sweater, ASOS bag, Matiko Lee loafers c/o Shoppalu, J Crew & Random necklaces, David Yurman bracelets, Michael Kors watch, JCP bracelet)
First of all, I’d like to announce that I am officially only one semester away from graduating! Although I didn’t think I’d make it out alive with 5 finals, papers, and various other presentations… I’m still breathing (whew!) and more than ready for this Christmas break.
During this nice break, I plan on doing a lot of blogging, spending time with loved ones, getting fit (since I neglected the gym for a good while during finals- don’t judge!) and did I mention blogging? Ah- finally a large amount of time to dedicate to what I’m passionate about! Let the styling, shopping and tweeting begin.
Speaking of styling, I’m kind of obsessed with mixing random and unexpected prints (as most of you already know). I decided to take a little risk today when I put together stripes on stripes. Despite what your grandmother and perhaps mother tell you, matching is definitely not everything! I threw a lot of prints together with this look, not to mention the bright red cords! Oh, and my studded Matiko Lee loafers felt like the cherry on top of an eclectic look for a fun filled day of shopping.
Oh and don’t forget to enter my Pure Essentia Giveaway!

  1. I LOVE this combination of colors and patterns. There's nothing quite like stripes over stripes or red pants and leopard loafers. Gorgeous look.

  2. Love all of the elements going on in this outfit, the fun print of the sweater, those bright pants, the amazing shoes (love!) and your clutch…so much fun, you look fantastic!
Congrats on getting through this semester and only having one more to go…so exciting!

  3. As a fan of mixed prints, kudos to you. Congrats on almost being done with school! I hope you enjoy shopping, and I love the animal print shoes mixed with stripes. Matching is overrated anyways!
