Four Outfits I wore In Paris: Layering 101

Happy Holidays Everyone! Sorry for being MIA so much lately. 2017 has been one crazy year, but I’m kind of over it. I’m really excited to share that in 2018, there are some AWESOME things to come. Get ready.

Because it’s the end of the year, I thought I would gift you guys with FOUR never-before-seen photos from my trip Paris. Plus, info about what we did and where we stayed! I can’t believe I haven’t shown you the full looks. Good news is: you can re-make each outfit and wear it right now!

My photographer (and good friend) Jordan and I had the best time in Europe. While in Paris, we stayed at the cutest boutique spot called The Hidden Hotel (a gem Chandler found last minute) and it literally feels hidden amongst the gorgeous streets. We were just a hop skip and jump from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs De Lesse – it was a great spot with even better service. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was fabulous! Don’t get me wrong, the rooms are small in Paris (so lower those expectations a bit, boo) but nonetheless we truly enjoyed our stay. And if you’re not going to Fashion week and have a normal amount of luggage, it’ll be perfection. HA!

I’m all about layering. Not only is it necessary in the winter (when you’re not in LA), but if done correctly, layering makes an outfit look more chic instantly. And I’m all about those ‘layering while still looking effortless’ vibes.

OUTFIT #1:

Nothing makes me happier than an outfit that is both chic AND practical with warmth. So go grab a comfy cute oversized hoodie, throw on a cool coat (and make sure the hood is out, duh!)

hoodie: h&m (mens) | coat: yumi kim | pants: zara | boots: senso

OUTFIT #2:

It’s cold and you still want to wear your favorite bow tie blouse. Reinvent by layering with a sleeveless shell/sweater/top like this sequin number. Finish off the look with an interesting coat, jeans and cool shoes – easy enough!

coat: storets | blouse: l’agence | sequin top: chan luu | jeans: h&m | bag: chloe | shoes: zara

OUTFIT #3:

A black turtleneck layered underneath a button down, topped off with an interesting blazer or coat.

I would say this type of look is slightly ‘man-repelling’, but who really dresses for men anyway? Lets be real here.

turtleneck: h&m | shirt: zara | coat: l’agence  (50% OFF!!!) | jeans: h&m | boots: matisse x amuse society (old, SIMILAR) | bag: chanel |sunglasses: celine

OUTFIT #4:

This look isn’t overly layered, but it is actually warm and it works. I feel like we all get into this pants-only rut during the colder months, and we reallllly shouldn’t. Tights are more popular than ever, people! Don’t be afraid to throw on that cute skirt or dress. Add tights or over-the-knee-boots and you are golden.

sweater: asos | coat: storets | skirt: sanctuary (sold out, SIMILAR) | hat: free people | boots: senso | glasses: garrett leight

  1. Who makes the grey 1/2 sleeve jacket over the trench?? Love the layered look.

    1. Hey Sharon! I am pretty sure the coat is Parker Smith – sorry for not being certain! I borrowed it from a PR firm a while back. I would definitely check ASOS & Topshop because they typically have similar if you can’t find it!
