Pattern Mixing 101

I know mixing prints can scare people. It’s a tricky trend, after all.
But it doesn’t have to be so scary and hard! The one rule in mixing prints is to make sure the prints are in the same color scheme (or around it).
Oh, and don’t overwhelm yourself with two HUGE prints. I don’t care if you’re Kate Moss or Queen Latifah, it is never okay to wear two HUGE prints.
So take my lead here. See how the color schemes of the prints from the top and skirt work well together? And leopard’s always a neutral anyway, so we aren’t even getting too deep into the scary, eerie, “get me away from” side of print-on-print… right?
Right.
So face your fears, my friends, and MIX!

  1. I love leopard / cheetah print and I love bold colors / prints but I am sorry to say that I am not a fan of this combo today. Fortunately, for you, it looks like I am the minority on that one 😉 Still, I appreciate anyone who makes a statement in fashion rather than choosing to blend into the background.
